I am working on my understanding of the words

bifdhoff = bishop?
beidhter=?
ungfraw= young woman?
muter= mother
martrer= martyr
konig= king?

Is there a resource on renaissance ge orman online? Or as a book?

Well, yes and now. I use a combination of a modern German-English dictionary, an online translator and the German equivalents of the OED, found here. This is actually a master search engine for three different dictionaries.

I don't know what beidhter means, sometimes you have to play around with the spelling and do a little detective work, and then there's the misspelled words...
