Extant pomander beads or Bisamapfel

While rummaging around today, I ran across several extant pomander beads or the large metal beads at the end of the paternosters so commonly seen in 15-16th c. German artwork.
They are cataloged under the name "Bisamapfel"

Here's a pretty one from the end of the 15th c.

RealOnline has a couple of others, but I can't link to them directly. They are record #'s 009534 and 009537
To get to them, go to this page, http://www.imareal.oeaw.ac.at/realonline/ and enter the entire number including the zeros into the text box below, then click Zeige Bilder, this will pull up that record.

New material object resource

As some of you may know by now, I like extant objects, and artwork. RealOnline is one of my favorite places to browse because you never know what you are going to find.

Today I found, via Karan Larsdatter's page, http://www.larsdatter.com, another Austrian site with cool stuff on it.

Its got some great stuff on there. :)
