The bottom two pieces on this picture look to be meant for more humble or everyday sort of applications, the one on the left seems to have several joins in it.

One of the problems with trying to recreate early modern German paternosters (rosaries) is the lack of large gold beads for the ends. Smaller beads are easy, vermeil is not to hard to find in great looking shapes, but larger beads, say around 16-20mm and above get tricky and/or expensive. 

Here are some ideas that I've found in the last 24 hours or so with various prices.  If anyone has any other sources, I'd love to hear about them.
