Thank goodness for the weekend
Jul. 6th, 2003 02:09 pmAfter the heat stroke from last weekend, I decided that I had better get my act together and make a linen dress to wear to Coranation next weekend. My doggie bag orange linen showed up on time and washed wonderfully, so I decided to make a dress that I didn't need to wear my corset with. I drafted the pattern using my measurements when I was wearing a tank top with an internal bra, this gives a pretty good silouette for the Augsburg mural period. So right now I am wearing a pinned up toile of the new bodice to check out the bust support and get the shoulder strap angles right. I tried on my Enn's gown without the corset and the waist was too loose and it flattend out the bust too much. I was able to use the back piece again though and just redrafted the front to be square necked and tighter in the waist.
Now I need to go trace the pin lines and take it off. A nap sounds so good right now.
