The happiness that is Friday
Aug. 29th, 2003 03:10 pmI am just soo happy that its Friday!!! I am waiting until I can flee the office and have a bit of a life for the weekend. Oh sweet freedom!
In other notes of interest.....
I was sucessful, well so far, in resisting the temptation to buy Textile Conservation and Research for $140 on bookfinder.com. I adore this book and since it has TONS of extant garments in it, its really hard to resist, but if it ever comes on for under $100, that baby's mine!
Fashion fabric club got me though. They are having free shipping right now, and they had a really pretty rust orangey and tan linen/rayon herringbone twill for $4 a yard, who could honestly resist that? I also broke down and bought several yards of this divine black and white wool jacquard that had a very period pattern to it.
I really need to go on fabric restriction. Its kind of getting out of control, especially since I haven't sewn the projects that I planned to get done earlier in the year. Oh well, if I didn't get it now, I wouldn't be able to find it when I needed it.
