Confined to sewing
Dec. 31st, 2003 02:46 pmMatt has confined me to sewing during the daylight hours so I won't get distracted and not get this outfit done. So no New Year's day movies for me, sorry Ysabelot, social life is on hold for the moment so I can sew.
This morning I got the light gold silk underskirt done, it looks so fine over the farthingale! Right now I am whip stitching the collar and skirting of the doublet on, once that's done its time to put on the hooks and eyes and move onto the overskirt.
When I woke up today we had about 2" of snow in the yard, its slowly melting but we are supposed to get more tonight.
Last night at Fencing we did Epee, I have forgotten so much in one month of Foil, but it was really good to get back into the weapon that I want to fence with. This next month we are doing Epee exclusively, I am so HAPPY!
Yesterday's visit with my great aunt Estelle went very well, she is 96 and a half and still loving life, she's pretty much confined to the house at the moment due to a compression fracture in her back, but she still reads and loves to chat, it was so nice to see her again. Matt and I have plans to go down there in February to see her again.
Back to working on this doublet.
