I spy with my little eye.....
Feb. 3rd, 2004 05:55 pmToday I called up and got an appointment to go and get screened for LASIK surgery, that's the laser surgery to fix near-sightedness. I am so hoping that I can get it, I've been wearing glasses since I was 7 and contacts for the last 11 years, which are better than glasses, but I want to be free of perscriptive lenses forever!
No more itchy eyes, sticky contacts, dirty glasses lenses...
My appointment is in 2 weeks, then if I can have the surgery it would be about 4 weeks after that since I have worn rigid contacts for so long my eyes have formed into the shape of the contacts and need to relax into how they really are. So no more contacts for me, good thing I like the glasses I have. I've been thinking about getting this for over a year, its taken me that long to come to terms with someone cutting my eyes open.
