I feel so blah today, like my internal combustion engine never quite got the signal from the starter to start.

Fortunatly, my back is feeling better today and I will be able to go fencing. Looks like it will be my last night at Open since next week is Social Night and the week after that all the stuff will be on the truck heading to CA.

Matt's in Maine now, having a blast no doubt.

Neat site

Check out this site I just found!

http://www.caloriesperhour.com/index.html

It has all sorts of calculators on it so you can track how much you're eating and burning. Looks to be very cool and usefull.

Tonight at Open Fencing was my last at this club, after this my gear will be packed or on a truck.

So my friend Annette gave me a nice print of a classic fencing poster from 1900 and brought rice crispy treats, AND made sure that Charlie the head coach knew that it was my last night! This meant that I was parked on a strip the entire night and fenced all commers in Epee. I fenced 11 people from 7-9:15 pm straight through, without breaks. According to www.caloriesperhour.com I just expended 1,121 calories, and boy do I feel like it!

I did get some really good practice in fencing men and was able to try out a couple of new moves so I feel like I am in good shape for Saturday. The 40 minute workouts on the eliptical trainer have really paid off, I was able to keep going long past what I thought I could and still got some good touches in.

Its bedtime for this tired Epee chick, I have the point (and the bruises to prove it!) I gotta get a fencing icon.
