Packing progresses, but the cat's still loose

Today didn't quite start as planned. Ginger-snap was supposed to go to Grandma's and chill out there until we left for CA, but he got spooked by Matt coming through the door and got away from me just as I had him almost in the cat crate. Much frustration, some tears and a few choice words directed at both of them insued. I decided to go run errands and get out of the house. Now, Ginger's sunning himself in the next door neighbors yard, Matt's taking a nap and I'm goofing of on the computer. I think we'll just let the cat hang out with us until its time to move into the hotel, that would just be so much easier.

*sigh*

Last night at Greenspires was so much fun. I got to hang out with Sly and Annaleen, chatted with Anne-Marie and Sean. Sly gave me a beautiful going away present, such a lovely treasure. The Indian food was really great afterwards, as always. I sure hope the group down south is half as much fun as this one.

The packers are still packing away, sounds like they have half of the kitchen packed and most of the basement and spare bedroom done downstairs. I've got a wicked nasty headache and am going to go work on some embroidery to sooth my nerves.
