I have so far had the best night.
- Got a wonderful seated chair massage on the way home, my shoulders are no longer touching my collar bones and I can now stand up straight.

- The library had the books that I wanted, plus a couple that I didn't know that I wanted when I walked through the doors. ;)

-I caught the last Express bus out of downtown. Normally I don't mind if I miss it and have to take the local bus and walk 8 blocks but when I have an extra 10 lbs of books its a different story.

-When I got home I had *3* packages waiting on my doorstep. One from fabric.com with my new wool, such pretty shades of a creamy tan, deep purple and a teal just the right shade to match my eyes. One from fashion fabrics with the new silks, oooohhh pale yellow Satin backed silk, ivory silk garbadine and the most divine merlot crepe de chine *sigh* Its all beautiful.
The third was a dozed red roses from Matt in celebration of our 1 year anniversary on Sunday. They are such a lovely color and are perfuming the house right now.

But you know what the best part is? I don't have anything that I HAVE to do socially this weekend. I really need to do a lot of house straightening and so forth, but I don't have to go out and see anybody if I don't want to. So the goal this weekend is to get the guards on the orange dress done and get the sleeves done, then there's the handout for next weeks class. Anything above that is bonus.

I love weekends

Getting packages in the mail is the best feeling in the whole world!!! It's like Christmas!

I really want to buy some of that wool from fabric.com, but it's so not gonna happen any time soon. Hopefully, they'll still have the colors I want once I get a jorb. Er. Job. Sorry... Too much Homestar Runner (http://www.homestarrunner.com) today. Hehehehehe.

I received my wool today too! The plum merino wool is to die for.

I know, isn't the merino loverly?

I got the eggplant, its just the right shade for my complexion. If its too red of a purple it doesn't look good on me, that's why I didn't go with the plum, it looked iffy with my skin cast.

Btw, how thick is the silk that you bought from Fashion Fabrics? I'm looking for a good lining for my wedding dress, and I thought about grabbing some of their silk...

The satin backed is heavy, it doesn't need a lining to give it any body, its got body and a half. ;)
The crepe de chine is standard lining weight fabric, but tightly woven, its got lovely drape. The garbadine is a medium weight, it would be a substantial lining or an less heavy outer fabric, its heavier and thicker than duponis or shantungs.

Does that help?
