Extant pomander beads or Bisamapfel

mmcnealyWhile rummaging around today, I ran across several extant pomander beads or the large metal beads at the end of the paternosters so commonly seen in 15-16th c. German artwork.
They are cataloged under the name "Bisamapfel"
Here's a pretty one from the end of the 15th c.
