One week from today is my last day of work!!! Yee Haa!

In light of this, I have been thinking about the direction I want to take my costuming in. I have a couple of projects in the works, but those will be quickly finished up once I get started working on them.

Now, after the pink dress, the farthingale and the new corset are finished, what then?

Should I break out of my 1530's period and go later?

Fur, something with fur is calling my name. Jen's new outfit has me totally wanting something similar.

I have this horrid green velvet that's calling to be a better green or another color. I could also sell it and buy something that's the shade that I want...

Right now, clothes that are warm and snuggly are what I want.

Go later, go later...do something French. No fur, Jen has that area covered and did it quite well I may add. Your sewing and website are so origional..You, Jen and a hand few of others in my opinion set the trend. Although, hummm what if you did something Royal with ermine like fur. Hummm, yeah that would be nice. I studied this one in class Wednesday...(the bottom pic)http://www.assumption.edu/HTML/Faculty/Gallo/Louis.html

Except that there was so much of the normal clothing for winter that was done in fur. I really want a furry something for this winter, which promises to be ~~cold~~

French though..... Oooooh, howabout Spanish with French influences? Say Reina Isabella or something by Sofinisba?

Or something a little different, but probably more ordinary?

However, this one is extremely tempting. Check out those glorious pieced sleeves!

There just are too many pretty outfits that I like for me to decide right now. That's OK, I have about a month to get through my other projects and make up my mind. Its going to be very hard though.

Oh the last two are wonderful. Something striking about the stripes. Have you read the Devils Stripes, by the same author of The History of the Color Blue. Very interesting stuff.

Actually I want to do something on the Color Blue and a Renaissance Blue dress this coming summer. To research it and put it on my page for reference.

Do you have further information on those last two paintings? Artists, time period, style? Id like to read up on them.

PS I love your work and am sure anything you do will be lovely and trend setting.

I haven't read the Devil's Stripes yet, something new to put on the reading list. ;)

I will put up the further info on the last two tomorrow, I have it but need to go digging for it. Both of them are 1500's.

*blush* I don't know about being a trend setter, I just try to make stuff that I am excited about and challenged by. If people get inspired by it, I am estatic!
