mmcnealyThe 1500's blue-green dress is NOT salvagable. There is no way I can get the fabric in the bodice to compress all the bosum that it needs to compress. Heck, I put on my old corset and the dress finally closed, but the corset was too high for the dress.
In other words, there is nothing I can do to build an understructure that will provide enough compression that will allow this dress to work, and I don't have enough fabric to make a new bodice and new sleeves. Therefore its being salvaged for a petticoat. The end
