Dress progress update

mmcnealyI got so much done at my parent's house M-T-W,
- The hem on the Enn's dress is done and the guards are going on today. I am also working on finishing up the headress, and making a partlet and apron to wear with it. I am going to my first SCA event tomorrow, Lionhearts in Duvall, and I want to look good. I don't know if the sleeves will be done, so it won't be perfectly authentic, but its been soooo hot here the last few days, today it was 90, and my dress is wool... Hopefully the costuming mavens will be forgiving about the missing sleeves for the sake of me not falling over from heat stroke.
- My sister's dress is drafted, and fitted on her. Its based on Alcega's 59a pattern. I kept the porportions the same, but modified it to fit her measurements. I do intend to start a diary or at least a write up on how I drafted it off of the Alcega pattern. Hoping Sunday? Maybe....
- Got talked into making my little brother a doublet to wear to the Renn Faire, so I drafted up a pattern based on Svant Sutre's doublet from PoF, but it won't have sleeves. Got the pattern drafted and the mockup fitted on him, now he just needs to approve the fabric and we are all set.
Also, the black silk arrived for my next corset and possibly something else, not sure how much I will have left once the corset is finished.
