I've got the tea steeping in boiling water to create the dye bath for the test dyeing.
Meanwhile, I'm thinking about starting a purse, just because I can and cause I feel like death warmed over and need a little costuming treat.
In happier news.... I highly recommend this book for good writting style, Lansknecht clothing, history of the era, some social commentary and some darn fine tents and camp furniture. Plus, I love his description of the camp tarts, and no I don't mean the pastries! ;)

And we must be getting into the Christmas season soon, the Nutcracker is playing on the radio.

Date: 2004-10-31 05:33 am (UTC)The first fall after she quit ballet, I had a really rough time of it. From August to December, everything was Nut-Nut-Nut, the hundreds of hours of rehearsals, costume fittings, creation of new costumes, the like. Here is my collection of rats, for example: http://www.villagephotos.com/pubbrowse.asp?folder_id=1049820 - I don't know what happened to the picture of Michael as a rat; I'll have to re-scan that photo.
I am determined to go see Nut this year, whether or not I can get Æddie or Kat to go with me. It's under my skin, a part of my soul now. I can't not go see it. So, for me, I cherish Nutcracker on the radio, tears and all.
