So totally In love with this dress
Jun. 12th, 2003 11:20 amOr this other one or that one over there...
So I have decided that my next dress is going to be pink, to use up the pink linen that I already own (novel thought I know) and with black guards. So I have been out looking for German dresses in pink. I ADORE this one, aren't those sleeves to die for? This one is fantastic too, I love the sleeves on it too.
However,
this Italian one I also love and its been my wallpaper on my computer for the last few months. That is what I do with outfits that I am considering making, I put them up as the wallpaper on the computer screen so I can meditate on them and figure out all the little details. I think it would look stunning in pink with black guards and piping around the slashes.
Now... Which one?

I think it would look a little plain without a brocade. The second German one has really fabulous sleeves, and it's a nice neutral look that could pass for German or Italian (or a dozen other regions) with some minor changes to the accessories.
I dunno... I'm no help at all! I love all three! :-P

I hadn't thought about the first one being your pink dress, but you're right, its the same one! It wouldn't take that much more pink to do these sleeves, and I think they would look really cool.
The green one will have to wait until I can find the perfect brocade and lace for the partlet. *sigh* I love that dress.
