Its official, sitting in soapy water for 24 hours ruined the color. The green dried a faded bluey-green color, so I called my brother and we have agreed that black would be a better color than this nasty weird color. So I am going to dye it this weekend, all 10 yards of it.
I was already going to do that with some of it, this just makes it easier to do the whole thing. It was such an odd color of green anyway... so hard to match.

Andrew will look stunning in a black and silver doublet, now if I can just get a shirt and hat done aswell to complete the look

I am such a spoiling older sister.

What do you use to wash your wool in? I've been using walmart brand baby body wash, seems to do a nice job (and it's cheaper than baby shampoo). Very gentle.

I washed it in regular laundry soap, Arm&Hammer.

I have done this to other wool fabrics without damage, it was just the washing machine mishap that caused the damage.
