Tab update
Jun. 19th, 2003 09:54 amLast night I got all 13 waist tabs cut out, sewn, turned and pressed. They are now ready to be either decorated or sewn to the bodice. I am still not sure about the decorative style I want to take with this.... I could go all out with the glizty yarn I got, but this dress is just saying simple yet elegant.
I drafted the shoulder wings and tabs out of PoF, using the loose gown in the back for an example. I literally was able to lift them right out of the diagrams size wise, but changed the number of tabs as I am being stingy with my time right now and trying to minimize the amount of handwork this dress is going to eat up. That is probably unfair to my sister, but if the dress was made out of more period fabrics, I would feel differently. Does that sound snarky?
