Now this is news I can use!

"Curvy women are more likely to live longer than their slimmer counterparts, researchers have found.
Institute of Preventative Medicine in Copenhagen researchers found those with wider hips also appeared to be protected against heart conditions.

Women with a hip measurement smaller than 40 inches, or a size 14 would not have this protection, they said.

The researchers say hip fat contains a beneficial natural anti-inflammatory. "

but also, woman with very large hips say woman over 250 pounds have very painful to the touch areas because of the stretching of the nerves & tissue. I see this in alot of my clients who are obese (beyond curvy). Soo while curvy is good, obese is not

I knew there was a reason for keeping some of this weight on me! But, seriously I sometimes listen to this Dr. guy on the radio in the mornings... can't think of his name right now. Anyway, he always stresses types of fat. He suggests that the fat found on our thighs and upper arms are not necessarily bad types of fats. However, extra fat found on the tummy is not good. And he goes into the reasons why which it has to do with where in the skin layer the fat is laying.

*shrug* So, long as I can stay flexible and mobile and I am eating healthy I'm happy. ;D
