Lovely lovely green silk!

When I got home today there was a little white package on the door step waiting for me. White packages are ALWAYS good things. I got my order from Denver Fabrics today, the beautiful medium lime green silk shantung (wonderful fabric!!!) oh so soft Italian cotton velvet, and this really cool black linen that I got for lining the doublet. Its almost like its counted thread linen, but in black. I was thinking of all of the really cool embroidery projects that I could do with it, and then reality set in.

I really like this silk shantung from DF, its slightly heavier than the duponi and has very very few slubs, it just makes me wantt to buy more fabric in lots of different colors and make something fabuleous. I have no idea what yet, that takes differnt brain cells than the impulse buying ones.
Isn't it just gorgeous?

Argh! Eviiiil!!!! You can't do this to me! I'm totally stressing out about wedding crap and when that happens, I do retail therapy and I've already blown $80 on fabric today (8 yards of *gorgeous* maroon and orange shot duipioni) and then you come up with this? Silk shantung for $6 a yard????

Sorry for putting temptation infront of you Sarah, I just couldn't help it, I HAD to share with somebody because my cat sure doesn't care and my husband is gone.

I completely understand about stressing out about wedding planning, I planned ours last year, we got engaged April 30 (my birthday) and married August 3rd, just a 3 month engagement. I only had time to make a decision once and then move on to the next one, there was no time for second guessing, I think thats what saved me. That and having a finance who was very supportive and just excepted whatever I decided.

Maybe going for a walk or a run would be less expensive therapy.... Nah! ;)
