Today was the day I was going to do lots of handsewing on my sister's dress, however because I did lawn work yesterday, the shoulder and waist tabs didn't get cut out, hence no handsewing to do at my desk.

So, today I working on transcribing Alcega. What I do is translate the little letter symbols into the amount of inches that they represent, calculate what the finished garment size is and figure out the waist to skirt ratios. Once you have these numbers you can figure out how to make it the size you need. I did this for the pattern for my sister's dress which is based on 59a, and now I am starting to work on the other patterns. I think I will do the women's garments first.
