Hunger

Hunger is an interesting thing. Right now I am emotionally hungry but not physically so. No, its not that I have emotional needs that aren't being met, but my emotions are telling me that I need to eat something (perferably chocolate and lots of it!) to make me feel better, but my stomach is saying that I'm not hungry at all. Anybody else get this way?

I got back from my daily 3m walk and on the way home I realized that one week from today most of the stuff that is currently around me will be packed away in a big orange truck. I really dislike moving and the disruption that it brings, I like things to be settled and steady, not topsy-turvy and in motion.

I'm trying to trick myself into thinking that its like a big 2.5 week vacation in which we'll be camping inside with beds and hot water and good cooked food with a two day car trip at the end through scenic countryside. But that just made my emotional swings worse because I had to then deal with the fact that I WILL be going away, so I decided not to think about it at all and just focus in finishing up the quarter.

In fun news, Matt's been looking at property for sale in Maine and thinks that we could buy a summer house with an acre of land on a lake for about 50k. We would rent the place out to summer people and finally have some money invested in real estate. Wow, land that we can actually afford in a place we like!

It isn't a poem
Non curo. Si metrum non habet, non est poema.
"I don't care. If it doesn't rhyme, it isn't
a poem."
You are a type A personality. You like bright
things, you don't call in sick to work, and you
have devastating opinions about art.
