Calling all my foodie friends!

You know all those medievel and renaissance recipies that call for one bird to be placed inside of another bird and so on.

Introducing Turducken the modern equivalent.
"Turduckens - turkey-duck-chicken. This is an amazing meal. We take a whole turkey, whole duck and whole chicken. We de-bone all three. We put the duck inside the turkey and then the chicken inside the duck: The best cajun turducken ever made along with some of the best cajun specialty foods in Louisiana. We start with a 12 to 14 lb turkey. They debone it flipping it inside out, season it with a cajun seasoning, and then stuff it with th finest Louisiana crawfish, shrimp, and rice stuffing. Then it is stuffed with a boneless chicken breast, a boneless duck breast, and more rice stuffing throughout the rest of the turkey. Finally seasoned pork sausage is inserted between the duck breast and turkey. The final product in sewn together and ready for the oven. This product is as much as a conversation piece as it is DELICIOUS! As they say in Louisiana, the flavor of the homemade seasoning is incredible, "bon appetite": The Cajun is stuffed with a Shrimp and Crawfish Dressing: The Turducken will ship in a perishable container frozen solid"

Like they say, there is nothing new under the sun.

Of course if I did sit that far back at the computer, I'd have a hard time staying awake.

Dear LJ Oracle,

Last night I posted about the Turduckhen and how it reminded me of a medieval or renaissance recipe where they stuff one bird inside of another.

If I remember right, it was a finch inside of a pigeon, inside of a chicken inside of something else.

[personal profile] ornerie asked me where I saw this as it she wasn't familiar with it.

Well guess what? I can't find it either, although I can see the words on the screen in my head.

So, dear LJ Oracle, can you find the recipe?
