A small comment on current fashion trends...

I *adore* the new fitted look! Princess seams and dresses with actual waist seams, the more structured styles, they are my friends.

... if only they actually cut the clothes for people with boobs. I've been looking for a nice fall jacket, and a nice dress, but nothing is fitting. :(

That's why I'm drafting my own patterns, I make sure its cut for my figure, which has curves on all four sides, not just on the sides.

Exactly, princess cut actually is my enemy, because they don't take into account that people with large breasts and bigger sizes also have a larger difference between bust and waist measurement than the thin models they make their clothes for. So the princess seam curves in c. 2 inches at the waist and then curves out again and hangs like a sack. Making ones own clothes is the way to go. And tops with a little elastan and curved side seams.

Every figure requires a different fitting technique, that's the beauty of making your own clothes, you can make them to fit.

Princess seams have always looked best on me, not really sure why.
