Baby update

mmcnealyI had another ultrasound yesterday to determine the age of the baby, looks like it may be two weeks further along than thought, so I'm about 29-30 weeks right now instead of 27-28. An early August birthday may be more likely than earlier thought. :)
It was really amazing to see how much further along it is now, I got to see the face, and it definitly takes after my side of the family with those cheeks. :) And it was a nice active show off baby too. It opened and closed its eyes, stuck out its tongue, opened and closed its fists, sucked its thumb, played with its toes. Its in a good head down position, and hopefully it will stay that way too, although there doesn't seem to be that much room to flip end for end.
It also appears to be healthy too. I asked the ultrasound tech if we could see the heart, and there were the four chambers all nice and healthy, the kidneys seem to be in the right spot as well as the other internal organs and the bones look nice and strong too. It does seem to have it's father's feet though, long and narrow. The tech thinks that its about 3 lbs, 3 oz at the current time and the fluid levels look good. In short a healthy, well formed baby and I am so relieved!

-the only thing i've been shown on ultrasound is my IUD... which not as exciting ;)
