Clean house, new books and groceries
Aug. 2nd, 2003 04:47 pmI didn't actually make it to the library today.
I was on my way there when I decided to go the HalfPriced books and see what they had first. Books in general are my biggest weakness, even more so than fabric, so its generally better for me to buy them used to save the pocket book.
I got several really great art books includeing one that is just portraits fron the late 1400's to 1630 ish, finally a book that is just portraits; A couple of really good sewing books that negated needing to go to the library, and a book that is just images and close-ups from Les Tres Riches Hueres du Duc de Berry, including some humoreous images of guys out harvesting the grain in their shirts and underwear. Hehehe. Yah, all outerwear is made out of wool, linen was never worn as outerwear, yada yada. (Reponse to certain comments on AIPON) I am so tempted to scan them in and post them on their.
Then I went grocery shopping at Trader Joe's and got general items and some ahi tuna steaks for dinner. Their blackberry cabernet gelato is divine.
I proceeded home and cleaned up a storm. The only areas that still need cleaning are certain flat surfaces that never stay clean anyway. Now I think its time to find something good on TV and sew some guards on.
Darn, I need cable.
