An interview by Jen
Aug. 11th, 2003 04:56 pmSince I seem to be inept at making the little link to peoples LJ's... This ones from Jen Thompson.
1. Since you are a big library geek like I am, what outrageously rare/expensive book do you wish you check out and never have to return?
That would have to be Textile Conservation and Research by Flury-Lemberg and a bunch of other people. It has details on tons of extant garments, mainly mens stuff, but its stuff that I haven't found in other places. If I couldn't get that one I would get a book on Hans Mielich, wonderfuly detail oriented painter, either that or.... Oh, you just said one right? ;)
2. How many kids would you like to have someday, and what are you going to name them?
I want three, Matt wants two, a boy and a girl. Henry and Natalie are the names we like. He wanted to name them all with names starting with M, and I said xixnay on the M names, anything but M was the rule on picking names.
3. What was the most romantic thing your husband ever did for you?
Proposed to me on my birthday, nicest birthday present ever. Especially since he has spent weeks telling me that it wasn't going to happen until a month after my birthday. I was so surprised I almost fell over in shock.
4. If you could go back in time and ask anybody one question, what would you most like to know?
Right now its a toss up between asking one of the early Tudor women if they are wearing a corset and if so, what's the stiffening and one of the wearers of the Gothic fitted dress if she has a waist seam.
The question changes pretty much daily, its one of those things I fantasize about
5. If you could raid the closet of any costumer who has posted pictures online (and fit wasn't an issue), what dress would you like to steal?
Too hard! I don't know.... I like too many pretty garments.
THE RULES!
1 - Leave a comment, saying you want to be interviewed.
2 - I will respond; I'll ask you five questions.
3 - You'll update your journal with my five questions, and your five answers.
4 - You'll include this explanation.
5 - You'll ask other people five questions when they want to be interviewed.
6 - Respond asking me five questions if you want!
