Birth of Matthaus Schwartz, 1497

Coma at age two and sick at age three

Learning his alphabet at age 5

Herding cows and working for the farmers

Playing in the street and saying Mass in his bedroom with his own little altar

Entering Saint Moritz school and trampling his school books

Sampling the wine


These next pictures are from the life of (I believe) his son Conrad and start in the 1540's
1542 - Toddlers at play

1548-1549 Boys playing in the street

1551 Winter games and a snow ball fight

wow, do they have the whole swartz book scanned in bildindex?
that would indeed save me a lot of work, as i only would need to copy the text pages in the book before i return it to the library!

I believe that they do have all the pages scanned in, but only in b/w.
