This week has been declared the worst worm week ever. I wondered what was going on, I kept getting emails from random folks at Amazon with the subjects of Wicked screensaver, thanks for the details and a couple other titles. Since I didn't know these folks, I deleted the emails and purged them from my box.

Here's the news story about this virus. GAH! Why can't the programmers who create these things get a life and do something useful?

Suspecting a fiendish plot

That hit our office today, and several people actually opened attachments, (when will they learn?)I've watched our IT person pull his hair out all day.
I really feel bad for the guy
but my real question is... what do people who create these viruses get? I doubt someone pays them to do it.

HA - thats why I kept getting messages which looked like "confirmations" of my details. I was getting them from all sorts of places - 16 in one sitting!!!!!!

Didn't dare open any of the attachments when I saw the endings of the file names. Zone alarm didn't pick those up!

Probably this programmers are snotty little 13 year olds surfing the net and picking up blocks of program code and instructions on how to adapt it! They know very little of real programming but think they are brilliant!
