I suppose I should just be grateful that there is brocade fabric out there like that seen in so many of the Lucas Cranach the Elder's paintings

And not be bitching that its $71 a meter with a 10 meter minimum order


Talk about a period-style barrier to copying the fashions of the upper-crust. *big grin*

Of course there's lots of other 'almost good enough' brocades on there for much less, just not the one I want!

That is a great on-line store. I have oggled the fabric there for a while. They are actually based out of Calgary, but unfortunately don't have an acctual storefront.

Interesting though to compare the cost of fabric today with that in period, makes $71/meter seem quite reasonable at times.
