Bildindex is one of those great tools, you can find lot if you just happen to know the right ICONCLASS, and that of course is the key.
However, tonight I figured out that there's a browser out there, that will help you find the right code, and it conveniently has links to Bildindex and a few other databases so once you find the right code, you can just click the link.

Of course, figuring out which code is still the problem.. so there's a nice keyword search too.
But you can still end up chasing your tail through the index trying to find the right code.
Its a love/hate relationship.
