I just found out that my alma mater, the UW, has a historical costume and textile collection. I've lived in this area for 10 years and this is the first I've heard of it. Just contacted them to find out how to see it and study it, according to the source I heard this from they have several pre-1600 swatches of fabric and who knows what all else. I am soo psyched!

I hope I can take pictures of the good stuff, or purchase pictures of them. I am waiting, very impatiently, for them to respond to my email. I should probably check to see if they are even open on Mondays. Hmmm....
