Here’s one for the Uh? Files

mmcnealySo, if you may recall I went to the Dentist last week and found out I need 3 crowns and a like number of fillings. Oh joy of JOYS!!! Dental Work! Color me UGH!
As I was leaving the Big D’s office, I arranged for the receptionist to email me the cost estimate on getting the work done. She promised it the next day. I heard nothing, called her, she promised it that afternoon. More than a week later, I still haven’t received it. Today I called her again to find out when I was going to get it. Here’s her response on why I haven’t gotton it yet.
“Oh, I was going to send it to you earlier, but my printer is broken. I can’t send you the email until I can print out the spreadsheet and attach it to the email and send it.”
Uh? Why do you have to have a working printer in order to send an email? Its beyond belief.
So I have decided to just stop by their office on my lunch break and see the thing in person. It really shouldn’t be this hard.
In better news, it looks like the ship's email is still working and will stay working! I got one from Matt this morning.

Date: 2003-10-02 03:31 pm (UTC)Turns out after all of this, she just got a hold of the insurance company TODAY! Hmm... Wonder if it had anything to do with me saying I was coming in.
Now she needs to have to doctor write a little note on why I really need the work done and then send in the pre-work X-Rays so that the insurance company will maybe cover more than 20% of the cost.
Grumble, grumble..... What the heck has she been doing for the last week and a half anyway?
