OK, since I am now in Library school, I've started finding more articles on the subjects and issues in the field. I think I want one of these action figures for my desk.

I ordered several librarian action figures from Archie McPhee a couple of days ago. I received an email yesterday that they are on the way. We had a brief discussion about this on the listserv for my intro LIS class. A few people were offended by the figure, but most seemed to find it amusing.

You'll have to let me know what you think of them, of course I could probably just go down to Archie's and see them for myself.

That was basically the sentiment expressed by several people on the listserv. I just started the program this fall and thought it was really cool that I was entering a profession with its very own action figure.

I was just at Archie Mc Phee's today & they have the librarian action figure for like $9.00. It was so cool. I want the Shakespear action figure with action quill pen-YC
