Waiting for the day to be done
Oct. 21st, 2003 03:07 pmThis day seems to be dragging on forever.... and ever. I am so ready to blow out of here and just be done for the day, but I'm waiting for the last stuff to come in for me to do and get done, then I am gone. I am getting a much needed chair massage after work, then meeting A. for fencing tonight. I think my knees are going to be killing me later.
I'm sort of miffed with Matt for not writting today, I realize he's busy, but I had a specific question for him about the Christmas party that I'm helping him plan and it stinks that he hasn't responded.
Last night I went shopping for things for the veil I am making my friend CTT for her wedding on Saturday, while I was out I got a food mill and a couple of sweaters. Oh the delights of fall!
I also got a whole box of Mango Frango's, the entire box has now been consumed in under 18 hours. I have got to cut back on the chocolate.
8 more days of employment by the Mu, so so very ready to just be home.

Date: 2003-10-21 07:05 pm (UTC)I get phone calls about 2-3 times a week, but they're at minimum a half an hour long. Don't you wish you could just pick up the phone and call him sometimes?
Dealing with it with Chocolate?
Date: 2003-10-21 08:43 pm (UTC)That also helps explain the extra, urm, padding I am currently carrying around too. I've put on about 6 pounds since he left in April, and 14 since the wedding. It is so very much time to hit the gym and cut back on the sugar, but honestly, someday's the only good part of the day IS the chocolate. Boy, am I addicted to the stuff or what?
I am so envious, a 30 min phone call a couple of times a week? *sob* Mine are 15 min, max, maybe once a week, and most of the time the connection cuts out at least once and he has to hang back up and call again. But he usually writes every day, unless its a really tough transit or they lost the satellite again.
What I wouldn't give for a call back number!
Re: Dealing with it with Chocolate?
Date: 2003-10-21 09:15 pm (UTC)My weight has been fairly stable, but I associated my husband with (good) food. A stint on Weightwatchers before the wedding steered me off chocolate more or less for good, at least as a food group.
