Very productive sewing day
Dec. 12th, 2003 10:07 pmToday was a very good day sewing wise, the smock that I started months ago is all done but for the handwork to finish up the collar and neckline. I am very VERY happy with how its turned out so far, all of the french seams behaved themselves and went to the right side the first time.
A little dity to remember about French seaming
First its right sides out, stitch then press
Then its right sides together, stitch then press
After the smock I drafted a new corset pattern. I'm doing a combination between the Effigy and the one out of PoF, so the basic lines are Effigy like, but the boning pattern will probably be Germanic like the one in PoF.
Good heavens I am so tired. I hope I can sleep well tonight, last night I was sleeping good until the alarm on the store across the street went off and I couldn't get back to sleep forever.
