Had the most wonderful weekend at the ocean beach this weekend, the weather wasn't always the nicest, but the company was great and the accomodations were superb! The ocean is so mesmerizing and the town was so small and homey, Matt loves small towns like the one he grew up in, he calls them "Real people areas", he's so NOT a big city guy and hates it. I like living places with sidewalks and good libraries, so we will find a compromise somewhere.

Today Ysabelot is coming over and I'm going to teach her how to draft a block pattern and get a corset pattern drafted for her. Should be a good time, will be good to get back into the costuming grind of things, now that I have a working washer!

Now I just need to wake up, I got up early but laid around reading Anne McCaffrey's new book in my PJ's and playing with the cat. The good news is that the photocopy of the article out of Waffen-und Kostumkunde came today and it has patterns in it!!! Unfortunatly its all in German AND the person who was doing the photocopying wasn't paying attention so most of the pictures in the article came out too dark. *huge sigh* But its still a great article, and it came so quick, less that a week since I think it came in Saturday's mail.

Things to accomplish today
-Draft Ysabelot's block and corset pattern
-Do laundry
-Take pictures for webpage
-Work on webpage content, slowly but surely.
-Warp tablet weaving cards
-Coffee with CC tonight

Is it the new Pern one? How is it? I just got a Borders giftcard for my birthday and was thinking about getting it...but if it's only so-so I'll just wait for paperback and get something else now.

It is the new Pern one, "Dragon's Kin", it was co-written with her son and I think the quality is back up to were it should be. Its a really good book, great story line and fills out info on the watchweyr's, good characters too.

Well, darnit! I randomly stopped at the bookstore on my way home last night and got Mists of Avalon and the Silmarion instead. Guess I'll just have to get my name on the waiting list at the library (I hate hardcovers anyways.) Thanks!
