An uninteresting life, recap
Apr. 7th, 2004 10:04 pmLots going on, nothing much exciting, or maybe its me that's unable to get excited about things, kinda been that sort of day/week.
Matt's out of town this week, so I am feeling at loose ends, he takes up so much space in my life, when he leaves this void appears and nothing seems to fill it.
Saturday was the Baronial Banquet, it was a smashing sucess! Ysabelot and Isadora did a wonderful job and the feast from the Roman cookbook was sooooo good. Darn, I was so stuffed I didn't even have room for the honey fried dates, one bite and I was too full. I Need to make those for myself so I get my fix. I didn't get the 1500's dress done, well not satisfactorily anyway, just as well, the tempreture was in the middle 70's and possibly a little too warm for the dress.
Sunday was my first fencing competition, held at our local Salle and was the local competition for Nationals qualifiers. I placed 9th out of 13. I had occasional moments of fencing brilliance, but the majority of my bout time I fenced craptastically, partially cause I was so incrediably tired and had *no* bounce or liviness. I purposely didn't try to hard on my last bout with my friend A, since I wanted her to win at least one and I didn't want to advance to the next pool. Yes, bad fencer, good friend, all I wanted at that stage was a nice glass of Gatorade and a long nap. My left foot that I kicked into the new couch's foot didn't help my scores any either.
Monday...? Oh yah. Walked 3 miles as part of my new excercise plan and ran errands. Went to open fencing and fenced better against higher ranked fencers with less preperation than I had the day before against lower ranked fencers and 45 minutes of warm up. I have no idea WHY!
Tuesday, we finally got our Saab back from the body shop to fix the damage caused by getting rear ended. Looks good as new and is still a joy to drive.
Today, not much. Did some homework, looked for jobs on the Department of the Navy job site. Walked another 3 miles. Found out my jeans that are usually too tight for me when they're clean, aren't too tight anymore. Now if the darn scale would just reflect that.....
