Pear Custard results
Apr. 14th, 2004 04:42 pmThe pear custard is soooo delicious! The custard is *just* right to go along with the pears. I don't think I'm having dinner tonight, just pear custard!
On the marrow..... I wonder what effect this would have on the custard, replacing it with butter seems to have worked out just fine, and helped create a little carmelization on the edges.
Yum!

What kind of pears did you use btw?
(Hi! This is Meilin btw, I forget if I introduced myself. Found you first through lorelei's lair, I think.)

I used Bosch pears, the ones with brown skin.
I buttered a baking dish instead of using a pie crust, and I also used whole eggs instead of just the egg yolks.
