Sunday was over before I knew it...

Got up early and made two cakes for the picnic while Matt went grocery shopping. Made a Scrumpiously moist chocolate cake with espresso frosting and an Apple cake with buttercream frosting. Oh so nummy!  About 11:30 we headed down to the park to get set up for the birthday picnic. Amazingly, the weather turned sunny and nice right after we got the picnic table secured.

We had a lovely time at Gas Works park here in Seattle, just sunny enough and protected from any wind. When it got too hot at the tables, we moved up under the trees to stay cool. Lisa and Jeff brought out the Bocce ball set and a good time was had playing in the grass, but the little white goal ball kept getting lost in white daisy patches. ;)

Came home and took a much needed nap!  Then it was time to scramble to get ready for church and then came home and finished up some homework.
