Well, we've made it to CA, but our household goods won't be delieverd from storage until next Friday, after I've already flown up to Seattle to attend an event that I need costumes and camping gear for. Plus, I needed things in the boxes to finish the super secret project. I think I can borrow costumes from somebody in Seattle and I've got a plan to finish the super secret project (SSP) without the stuff in storage, but this was SO NOT what I had planned. Can you say "This stinks!" ?

Right now we are camping our cute new house thats two blocks from a beautiful state beach with great walking trails and nice rocks. I would post pictures, but the cable that connects the camera to the computer is in storage too. DAMN!

Other than the household goods situation, everything else seems to be going fine.

The drive down from Seattle was really nice and uneventful. I got lots of embroidery down and have just a little bit left on the SSP to go before I have to decide what to do about the middle section.

I have to get off the computer now so Matt can do check in stuff for his new orders. I'll write folks emails tonight and make sure you have the new address and phone numbers

Welcome to California!

Monterey is beautiful, isn't it? What part do you live in?

I know a really good sea food restaurant that isn't touristy, call the Fish Wife. It's not in Monterey, it's in that other little town on the peninsula there near Asilomar. It's on the road that skirts the shore (which I can't remember the name of either), near the turn into Asilomar. I believe the small motel it's next to is called the Beach Comber. Excellent food at good prices.

I know Monterey well enough to get around by sight, but I'm not as familiar with the street names.

Thanks!
We live in Pacific Grove in the Asilomar area, Asilomar State Beach is the one down the street. Sunset Drive is the road that skirts the beach. I'll have to have Matt take me to that restaurant, I just love seafood.

No unpacking for us yet, our stuff is still in the moving company's storage area, we get it next Friday. So Matt's going to be doing all of the unpacking while I'm in Seattle at Lionhearts, which means that I will not be able to find ANYTHING in the house until I go through and re-organize everything again.
