mmcnealy: (Old Me)

The week so far has gone well, the job is interesting and I am starting to get to know my co-workers and blend into the group. The working environment is fun and has a happy spirit to it, so much nicer than my last workplaces!

I also contacted the local SCA group today, still waiting to hear back from them, but there are several big kingdom events that are coming up in the next few months that are within easy driving distance. Matt could even drop me off for the weekend and pick me up on Sunday, if I had somebody to camp with or we got a tent.

Off to the gym to go run in place for 30mins.

Running in place

Running in place can be kind of boring, but I realized the other night, there's an upside to it too: unlike on a long walk outside, if you suddenly have enough, you don't have walk all the way to where you started from before you can stop. (My poor feet!)

Sounds like things are going well for you. Very cool. Got any grand sewing plans for the summer?

Yes ma'am I have some super duper sewing plans for the summer! Now that things are majoritively un-packed, I can actually get started to work on finishing up projects.

I anticipate being at a couple of the biggies in August (I emailed you to this extent earlier today).

I have an extra Ground Wart you can use if we're at the same events, and you let me know before I pack--we have a couple of period pavilions, as you have read, but don't mind sharing the "outgrown" stuff.

I'm pretty much limited to the southern end of the Kingdom, as I live in the outpost south of the border, but I'd love to have you join our camp!

And no, Aeddie doesn't know I've issued this invitation. Yet.

I got the earlier email while I was at work, and was going to answer it, when my managers walked in and started having a conversation right next to my cube. oops!

I would love to camp with you guys!!! That would be so much fun. ;) I am really looking forward to actually meeting you and Aeddie and Coirstan. A tent, of some kind, is in the plans for the immediate future. As much as I enjoy participateing in the generosity of my friends and being generous in return, there are just some basic things that a girl should have.

Yippee skippee!

I will write you off-journal with details.

If the tentage is not yet done by the end of August, Ciorstan (who is standing just off my right shoulder reading this) has offered you space in her tent at Purg if you don't mind sharing with a mom and a (very pleasant when she's away from her brother) ten-year-old.
