I love that you can keep clicking and zooming in on different parts of the picture. Like his netted headcover, and the really fine white smock work on his collar, and you can see that the pleats are the tiniest little things...

I hate it when museums use links that simply take you back to the 'front door'! Now I must go search - and you know what will happen then. I 'll see something else, and that will lead to some other thing, and four hours later I'll think, "Why am I so uncomfortable? Oh yeah, I have to drink something and hey! Get my foot out from under me where I've been sitting on it since I read Marion's LJ. Ow! Ouch, ouch, ouch! Danged foot's asleep!"

All because some museum has some savvy webdesigner. Hurmph!

My mother has a large repro oil on canvas of this portrait of Clara Serena Ruebens because she says it looks exactly like me at that age. I had *no* idea the original was in Liechtenstein. Funny.
