Interview update

mmcnealyI forgot to post this earlier, but the interview went very well this morning, even though it was at 7:30 am. Lately my brain hasn't reached full momentum until about 9, but that's mainly becuase I have cut out the double espresso shots
Besides the hiring manager being 20 min late, it went really well. We hit it off and I felt like we sorta clicked. He is starting up a new group of about 6-7 people and is looking for a wide range of expertise, looks like my technical SQL Server background may come in handy as they were looking to bring some work in house from the vendor that is exactly like what I used to do. Our styles seem to be similar, he also is a "Get it done" kind of person and not big into bureaucracy, also he finds a lot of satisfaction in making people's lives easier, which is what makes my day too.
The only potential sticking point is the travel I would have to do, I really don't want to be gone even close to 25%, maybe if I am in a more technical role I would be home more?
One of their technical people will be calling me on the phone this week to chat with me about my level of knowledge on the technical side. I should hear back from them either way in the next two weeks or so.
They have 3 positions open, interviewing 15, 150 applied. Pretty amazing uh?
Now I just need to get the address of the hiring manager so I can send him a thank-you card.
